WHY SCHOOLS CHOOSE TASTE LONDON

More than a walking tour. More than a meal.

Traditional school trips to London often include a city walk. Taste London gives groups that same cultural discovery — with food tasting woven in throughout. Students see London, understand more of it, and get to taste it too.

City discovery and food in one

Taste London gives school groups the cultural and historical discovery of a London walking tour while adding food tasting throughout. Two experiences in one visit.

Built for diverse groups

Halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options throughout. A practical advantage for the diverse cohorts most schools are managing.

Multilingual guides

Local guides available in English, French and Spanish — a genuine advantage for international school groups visiting London.

Private to your group

No joining a shared public tour. The experience is entirely yours — at your group's pace, shaped for your itinerary.

Fits into a wider itinerary

At around 3 hours, the experience can sit comfortably within a full school-trip day alongside other London activities.

THE EXPERIENCE

What students discover.

London's food helps explain London itself. These are the themes students encounter on a Taste London visit.

London through its neighbourhoods

Students move through the areas that make London what it is — Spitalfields, Borough Market, Covent Garden, Camden — understanding how different communities have shaped each corner of the city.

History beyond the landmarks

Stories and historical context that emerge from the streets themselves: who lived here, what happened here, and why it still matters.

Food and migration

London's food is the story of the people who came to build it. Students encounter those stories not in a museum but in the places where they began.

Hidden London

Streets, markets, details and places that visitors often walk past without noticing — brought to life by guides who know what to look for.

Learning through experience

Students engage with the city through moving, listening, seeing and tasting. It is a different kind of encounter with London — active and memorable.

TWO STUDENT ROUTES

Choose your London.

Two distinct routes through the city — each tells a different side of London's story. Tell us about your group and we'll recommend the best fit.

ROUTE 1 — HISTORICAL LONDON

Old Spitalfields
→ Borough Market

Visit some of London's oldest markets and most recognisable landmarks. Spitalfields traces centuries of immigration and trade; Borough Market sits in the shadow of Southwark Cathedral, a food market on this site since the 13th century. Rich in historical context — particularly popular with teachers.

ROUTE 2 — CONTRAST & CULTURE

Covent Garden
→ Camden

From the elegant piazza and musical theatres of Covent Garden to the vibrant, punk and gothic energy of Camden Market. Two contrasting sides of London in one journey — the contrast itself is part of the story. Resonates especially well with younger groups.
